Cornel Rasor is a good man, great candidate

| October 24, 2024 1:00 AM

Cornel Rasor is running for Idaho state representative, District 1, Seat 1B. He deserves our vote.

Cornel owns the Army Surplus store that was burned down this summer by an arsonist; a business he operated for over 40 years. No, you shouldn’t vote for him because of his tragedy, but I think it is worth considering his response to it.

When an individual was arrested for the crime, and made her first appearance in court, he described her as, “distraught, mixed-up, and devastated.” He prayed for her. He also made it clear that if she did it, he’d do what was needed by him for law enforcement to convict her. He’s a strong, empathetic man working to reopen his business while running for office.

Not only is he a good, hardworking, person. But he has experience in office, having served as a Bonner County commissioner for four years and currently representing us in the Idaho Legislature, having been appointed by the governor when his predecessor stepped down unexpectedly.

Cornel’s values are Idaho conservative. He advocates for:

• The right to bear arms

• Reducing regulations

• Thoughtful spending of taxpayer dollars

• Leaving the best interests of children in the hands of their parents.

Vote for Cornel Rasor this fall.
