Proposition 1 is a ploy to elect liberals in Idaho

Ranked-choice voting (identified as Proposition 1 on the November ballot) makes it easier for the least wanted candidates to win an election.

Imagine the candidates are as follows:

• Donald Trump

• Ron Desantis

• Nikki Haley

• Kamala Harris

Imagine conservatives in Idaho are conflicted about which Republican candidate to elect. Some voters choose not to rank all candidates (e.g., boy, I’d never support Haley!). Overall, selections are pretty varied, leading to multiple recount and redistribution rounds. Ultimately, enough Republican votes are tossed out, and enough Democrats have voted for Harris that although the majority wanted a Republican candidate elected, Harris wins.

This is why wealthy special interest groups outside of Idaho are paying millions to promote ranked choice voting in our state.

Vote no on Proposition 1 this November. Ensure your vote counts!
