Candidate questions - General Election 2024

To help voters make up their minds in the 2024 General Election, the Bonner County Daily Bee compiled the following questionnaire for candidates. Answers must be 100 words or less.


QUESTIONS: 

1. If elected, what would your first 100 days in office look like? 

2. What are the three most significant issues facing the office for which you are running? Why are they the most significant? (Please be specific.) 

3. What are your solutions to those issues? (Again, please be specific.) 

4. Do you support Proposition 1? Why or why not 

5. Does Idaho have a health care crisis? Why or why not?  

6. What is the most critical issue in your race and how do you plan to address it? 

7. What issue is not being given enough exposure in your race? What is it and why is it important? 

8. There has been a lot of contention on all levels of government – what would you do to help bring people together? 

9. Does government have a role in helping with workforce/affordable housing? Why or why not (be specific)? 

10. What would you do to increase citizen involvement in the decision-making process?  

11. What is the most important characteristic for someone holding office to have?  

12. What question should every candidate be asked? What is your answer? 

13. Give voters your best pitch: Why should they choose you?
