Eugene F. and Kay W. Berrodin, 95 and 90
Eugene F. Berrodin, 95, and Kay A. Williams Berrodin, 90, both passed away in October 2024 in Sandpoint, Idaho, at the home of their loving daughter, Nanci.
Gene and Kay were devoted parents, industrious workers, dedicated walkers, and life-long learners who left a lasting impact on their community and family.
Eugene had a successful career as a municipal manager in Ann Arbor, Mich., where he was highly valued for his dedication and expertise. Kay was a brilliant chemist at Parke Davis Pharmaceutical Co. before dedicating her time to helping families navigate the complexities of insurance and healthcare in the long-term care facility arena.
The couple is survived by their sons, Thomas Berrodin, Frank (Cheryl) Berrodin, and William Berrodin; daughter Nanci (Ronald) Jenkins; Eugene’s sister, Sally Novak; and brother Robert Berrodin, and Kay’s sisters, Jeanne (Gerald) Wright and Susan Guy. Brother Stanley (Shirley) Williams and brother-in-law Joseph Novak and Robert Guy preceded them in death.
Gene and Kay cherished their family, which includes five grandchildren. They regularly organized summer trips to Lakeside, Ohio, and Estes Park, Colo., growing family connections and creating lasting memories. Gene was an avid tennis player, competing in and enjoying the annual Lakeside tournament until the age of 90. He was a valued teammate and formidable opponent. Both Gene and Kay were devoted to travel and learning and frequently planned educational trips through RoadScholar.
The interment will be held Nov. 6, 2024, at Riverside Memorial Park in Spokane. The family is grateful for the support provided by BGH Hospice. Gene and Kay’s commitment to their community and family will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those whose lives they touched.
