STORE, OFFICE COMPLEX STARTED

Work has begun on a major retail store and office complex in Sandpoint at the corner of Third and Lake, to be known as the Lake Street Plaza Building. It will contain over 16,000 sq. ft. on two floors, with retail shops on the first floor and offices on the second. The project is a development of James Fenton Co., a California corporation engaged in development and operation of commercial real estate in California and Northern Idaho. James B. Fenton of Sandpoint, who will direct the project, estimates costs over $200,000. The state will install a central receiving and sending set to be maintained at city hall. City and county cars will be equipped with sending and receiving sets so there can be communication exchanges between cars and with the central station.
