Club helps retires medical debt

The Freedom Riders Liberty or Death Riding Club held its third annual Trina's Ride on Sept. 14 at Smokesmith Bar-B-Que to benefit a local young man who has undergone cancer treatment.
Freedom Riders LoD RC is a local riding club that raises money annually for local charities. Trina's Ride benefits a local resident battling cancer each year.
The club announced it reached its goal to retire Connor's medical debt not covered by insurance. The club thanked all businesses and individuals from the community who donated items to the live and silent auction, as well as all riders and the nonriding public who attended the event.
"Were it not for the generosity of the community, our success would not be possible," club member Dan McDonald said in a press release.
