Rasor is not the right choice for Idaho

Point 1: The Daily Bee asked Cornel Rasor to name “the most significant issue” for North Idaho voters. He said it was preventing abortions. He means with “no exceptions.” So if a woman is raped, she must give birth. If a doctor says an abortion will save a woman's life, Rasor wants the legislature to say no. 

Point 2: The Daily Bee asked Rasor, “What is the most important characteristic for someone holding office?” He replied, “No desire to control others. Those who seek to control others are the least suitable for public office.”

I guess Rasor will be voting for his opponent, Kathryn Larson, who doesn't share his obsessive desire to exert government control over women's bodies. 

The Daily Bee asked Larson if Idaho has “a health care crisis.” She explained that Idaho laws, including criminalization of abortion and rejection of federal funding, are causing a shortage of medical professionals in rural communities. 

Rasor dismissed the issue as “a Medicaid spending crisis.” Apparently, he thinks that the state government is doing too much to help low-income Idahoans get medical care. 

Why does Rasor spout such hypocrisy and express such lack of empathy for fellow Idahoans?  

Here's a clue: In the first nine months of 2024, Rasor paid over $26,000 to McShane LLC. McShane is the Las Vegas company that runs dishonest campaigns for Idaho Freedom Foundation (IFF) candidates. IFF is an extremist lobbying group, secretly funded by out-of-state billionaires, that works in the interest of large corporations.  

Here's another clue: Rasor has publicly pledged his allegiance to Citizens Alliance of Idaho, an extremist political action committee funded by IFF board members and out-of-state millionaires. 

Rasor promises that “God's grace” will make him “a willing servant to all of the citizens of District 1.” But it seems that he has sold his soul to someone else.
