Steve Johnson isn't transparent after all

| October 31, 2024 1:00 AM

"It's just common sense!" seems to be Steve Johnson's mantra.  Why does he continue to jump into races at the last minute as a write-in "independent?"

According to statements he made in 2022 when he jumped into the Senate race at the last minute, he said he'd been interested in public service over 20 years ago, why jump in at the last minute? He claims to be an independent, but in his 2020 campaign the Bonner County Democratic Commitee donated $3,500 to his campaign, $4,000 to his "independent" Senate campaign in 2022. This time the Bonner County Democratic Central Committee donated $1,000, and the first entity to donate to his campaign. He flip-flops from Democrat to independent in an attempt to game the system to announce his bid for office. Don't be fooled into believing he's truly an independent.

It's "common sense" when you look at his supporters that he's 100% Democrat. Look at his last postcard campaign mailer or his yard signs. You'll see, or actually not see, who paid for them — against campaign rules I might add.

Seems to me Steve Johnson is not very transparent or honest. Big NO for me.
