SANDPOINT — Everywhere you look, there's a treasure waiting to be discovered.

A rustic, three-story building filled with over 40 curated vendor spaces, Foster's Crossing is filled with vintage and antique items. Shoppers can find the perfect gift, cards, and stickers as well as furniture, clothing, comics, housewares, vinyl, books, jewelry, art, yard art, toys, games, man cave decor, and more.

"Generations of boots and shoes have burnished the wood floors to the soft glowing colors of autumn in the woods," Foster's Crossing officials said on the store's Facebook page. "Time stands still at Foster's Crossing, and a whole day can easily be spent browsing, eating, socializing, listening to local lore, music, and poetry."

It's no wonder then that Foster's Crossing has won Best Antique Store honors for four years running, winning in 2021 through 2024.

"We have something for everyone in the family," Tina Reynolds said of the store's philosophy. "Our goal at Foster's is to repurpose, restore, reuse and recycle items from the past to add style, flair and character to your home decor and wardrobe."

Reynolds said the mix of vendors at Foster's Crossing is responsible for the store's success, making it a must-see destination and an attraction for anyone visiting the area.

Packed with treasures, the store sees new products daily as vendors bring and display the vintage and antique items in attractive and interesting vignettes, Reynolds said.

"We thank Dick Foster for having the vision to open the store with his wife in 1978," Reynolds said. "Kate and David Luers have owned and operated the store since 2005. Carol Steinway has been involved with the store from the beginning and continues to be an integral part of the store today. Her vision, work ethic and positivity have helped grow the store to what it is today."

Cheerful employees make the store a fun place to shop and explore, area shoppers said, with many pointing out the friendly greetings and helpfulness that complement the store's diverse offerings. Add in the rich history of the building — Foster's Crossing was built in the 1930s as a railroad freight house and later was the Kist Root Beer bottling plant — it's no wonder that Foster's Crossing has so many fans, Best of Bonner County voters said in selecting the store for the honor.

"Many of our loyal local customers and first-time visitors tell us that Foster's is the cleanest, best-smelling and well-organized and displayed antique store they have ever seen," Reynolds said. "Our variety is beyond belief and the customers rave about how much fun they have shopping in the store."

Foster's Crossing will celebrate its 46th year in business in November with its annual anniversary sale, where the entire store is discounted.
