Arthur Franklin 'Art' Miller, 89

Arthur Franklin Miller, 89, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 10, 2024, in Sandpoint, Idaho.

Art was born Feb. 9, 1935, in Johnson, Kansas, to Franklin Arthur Miller and Neva June (Carrithers) Miller. Art passed away on Aug. 10, 2024, in Sandpoint, Idaho.

Art was a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, friend, excellent grandfather and spiritual leader to us all. We are all thankful for his many years of service in his Church, Gideon’s, in his community, for his work at Northern Lights, for his military service in the Navy and his work in the Children’s Miracle Network.

Art was preceded in death by his loving wife of 41 1/2 years, Annie (Sloan) (Schock) Miller; three sisters, Evelyn Schober, Louise O’Neil and Barbara Miller; and a brother, Alvin Miller.

Art leaves behind his sister, Margaret Agar (George); his first wife, RuthAnn Clyde (William); nine children, Alan Schock (Diane), Michael Miller (Deborah), Rhonda Goff (Steve), Laurel Heinemann, Vern Schock, Jolene Nelsen (Lindsay), Deanna Read (J.R.) Leora Brown and Darla Kuhman. Art was blessed with 25 grandchildren, 67 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at North Summit Church on Sept. 21, 2024, at 11:30 a.m. Interment will be held at Pinecrest Memorial Park, 499 Pinecrest Loop, Sandpoint at 10 a.m. Sept. 21, 2024.
