LOCAL WATCH: Gove finishes third at 2024 PNW Senior PGA Professional Championship
Representing The Idaho Club, Sandpoint local Jeff Gove shot a 4-under-par over two rounds to finish third out of 51 golfers at the 2024 PNW Senior PGA Professional Championship held Sept. 5-6 at the Arrowhead Golf Course in Littleton, Colo.
Gove, who advanced directly to the 36th Senior PGA Professional Championship presented by Cadillac with his performance this past weekend, carded 69’s in both rounds on the par 71 course.
PGA Professional Ryan Malby of Kalispell, Mont. won the championship with a 6-under-par performance while PGA Professional Mitch Lowe of Glendoveer Golf Course (Portland, Ore.) finished one stroke behind Malby with 5-under-par.
In addition to Malby, Lowe, and Gove, Birk Nelson of Orange Whip, David Lebeck of Portland Golf Club (Portland, Ore.), Christopher Smith of Eugene Country Club (Eugene, Ore.) and Brent Murray of Oswego Lake Country Club (Lake Oswego, Ore.) will also be advancing to the 36th Senior PGA Professional Championship, which will be held Sept. 26-29 at Sunriver Resort in Oregon.
Additionally, top finishers at the 36th Senior PGA Professional Championship will earn a berth in the 2025 KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship set to be held at the Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, Md.
