PREP ROUNDUP: Priest River volleyball routs Rams for fourth straight win
VOLLEYBALL
Priest River 3, Riverside 0
PRIEST RIVER — Junior Jayda Storro had a team-high 18 assists and six aces and the Lady Spartans scored 11 of the last 14 points in the third set to complete a sweep of the Rams (25-22, 25-21, 25-15) in a non-league match at Priest River High on Monday.
"We were very off tonight and we told them, it's okay for a couple of girls to be off, but when the whole team is off that's a big effect," Priest River High head coach Katlyn Ward said. "The third match we finally found our vibe and figured things out."
Sophomore Raygn Turner led Priest River for the second match in a row with 10 kills. Coach Ward said the sophomore outsider hitter is falling into her role nicely and does a good job at keeping the energy up.
On defense, junior Toni Marinello led the way with 19 digs while junior Aleigha Jensen added two blocks.
Priest River (4-0), which has now won four straight matches, hosts Kellogg today.
