Free mobile market today

Second Harvest Mobile Market will be in Sandpoint today, Sept. 10.  The free mobile market will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., or until supplies run out.

The event will be held in the parking lot of First Lutheran Church, 526 S. Olive Ave., Sandpoint.

Recipients will not be asked to sign in or show any documentation. They simply need to drive up to receive the groceries.

Unless supplies change, the expected distribution will include a protein, fresh fruit and vegetables, pantry items, bread and more. The church expects the event will allow them to help an estimated 250 families.

Guests are asked to enter through the church entrance off Ontario Street and not to arrive before 11, as it causes traffic and safety concerns.

The free food distribution is being held in partnership with Second Harvest Foods and Thrivent Financial.
