Lewis Shreffler

Lewis Lloyd Shreffler was born in Fairfield, Neb., on Aug. 29, 1933, to Raphael "Lloyd" and Ivy Shreffler and passed peacefully Sept. 6, 2024, at 2 a.m. in Hayden, Idaho.

Lewis is preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn Shreffler; his mother, Ivy Shreffler (Shaw); his father, Raphael "Lloyd" Shreffler; his daughter, Patricia Faye; and his sisters, Maudie Shreffler (Garretson) and Irene Shreffler (Whithers).

Lewis is survived by his sisters, Jane Raynor (Star, Idaho) Ivalie Woods (Billings, Montana); his brother, Kenneth Shreffler (Sandpoint, Idaho); his daughters, Cherri (Clifford) Hackney (Careywood), Dorla Latham (Golconda); and son Marvin (Gayla) Shreffler (Careywood).

Lewis is known as Papa to 10 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren.
