State seeking input on ISAT tests
The Idaho Department of Education is seeking input from educational communities statewide in advance of a Request for Proposal to select a vendor for the Idaho Standards Achievement Assessment and the Idaho Alternate Assessment.
The ISAT/IDAA is administered each spring and is designed to measure student achievement on Idaho content standards in math, English Language Arts (ELA) and science. The assessment is taken by all Idaho students in grades three through eight and grade 11 for math and ELA, as well as grades five, eight and 11 for science.
Feedback is anonymous, and while many questions are geared towards educators and administrators, any member of the public is encouraged to take the survey. Not all questions must be answered in order to submit feedback.
The department is requesting input on what parents, educators and students expect from the federally-required assessment. Stakeholders are asked to fill out the 10-minute survey to help guide this process. The survey is open now and will close on September 27.
Following the survey collection, the department will convene stakeholder groups to review survey results, develop an RFP and evaluate vendor proposals. The input will help guide the RFP process and inform the creation of the RFP scoring rubric.
The department is also seeking educators and community members for the development and evaluation activities related to the RFP process expected to take place in the 2024 - 2025 school year. To apply, please fill out the subject matter expert recruitment form.
