A Sagle woman was arrested Wednesday for resisting arrest and possession of methamphetamine with the intent to deliver, according to a press release from the Kootenai County Sheriff's Office.

Andrea Nelson, 32, was approached by KCSO detectives patrolling the parking lot of the Super 1 store in Athol about 10 p.m.

"Detectives observed a vehicle exhibiting suspicious behavior and initiated contact with the occupants," the release said.

Detectives discovered illegal drugs inside the vehicle. One of the suspects, Nelson, tried to flee but was detained without further incident. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed a substantial quantity of methamphetamine, the release said.
