Anderson tabbed with ISCA Coach of the Year honors
Full caption: For coaching the Sandpoint High girls' tennis team to their first 4A state title in school history, which included 4A singles champion Pepper Rickert and 4A doubles runner-up Aubrey Knowles and Sydney Webb Fite, Kent Anderson was named the Idaho State Coaches Association Coach of the Year. "It was an honor coaching the 2024 State Champion girls' tennis team," coach Anderson said. "What a great group of inspirational, hard-working and motivated young ladies. I felt this group was going to be special when I first started working with most of them six or more years ago. Most of the girls on the team came up through the middle school tennis program." Anderson said come 2025, both the boys and girls teams have the potential to duplicate or surpass what was accomplished last year. The team will begin playing in earnest around November 21 at the new James E. Russell Sports Center.
