Foundation announces community grants
SANDPOINT — A trio of Bonner County nonprofits are receiving almost $29,000 in grant funding from Idaho Community Foundation grants.
The grants are part of more than $275,000 awarded to 40 nonprofit and educational organizations in North Idaho through the foundation's Forever Idaho North grant cycle. This funding supports organizations across a variety of impact areas, including health and wellness, housing stability, arts and culture, education, and community benefit.
“Forever Idaho is not just a grant program — it’s a movement of philanthropy that is building a culture of giving across our state,” Lisa Bearg, ICF senior philanthropic advisor, said. “The generosity of our donors and the hard work of these nonprofits are what make Idaho such a special place. Together, we are ensuring that our communities continue to thrive.”
Receiving grants in Bonner County are:
⦁ Clark Fork Hope Area Senior Services, Inc. – $6,367 to support health and wellness.
⦁ Kaniksu Land Trust, Inc. – $12,500 for community benefit programs.
⦁ Priest River Ministries, Inc. – $10,000 to support housing stability.
Grant recipients were selected by ICF’s Regional Council for North Idaho, which reviews grant applications for how each project aligns with their community to ensure funds are distributed in ways that will create lasting and meaningful impact. Grant awards are then approved by ICF’s Board of Directors.
This year’s grants are supporting a wide range of impactful projects. From housing programs to community enrichment, these funds are making a tangible difference across North Idaho.
