James Miller, 76
Doctor James “Jim” Miller, 76, of Sandpoint, Idaho, passed away Aug. 28, 2024, in Gold Canyon, Ariz., surrounded by his loving family. Born on Sept. 28, 1947, in Berlin, Germany, he was the beloved son of Jean and J.O. Miller.
Jim, a lieutenant in the United States Army, attended the University of Washington after his service. There he obtained his doctorate in dentistry. Jim had a deep passion for dentistry, which he practiced for 43 years. He found great joy in serving his community, always striving to make a difference in the lives of his patients. His dedication to helping others and his love for his profession will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
Outside of his profession, Jim was an avid outdoorsman with a passion for adventure. He loved spending his time snowmobiling winter landscapes and riding his motorcycle on the winding roads of Idaho. In his retired years, his free time was spent on the golf course.
Jim was a beloved father, grandfather and friend. He is survived by his brother, Bruce Miller; two children, Kate and Kyle; and a cherished granddaughter Ella.
A celebration of life remembrance gathering for Dr. James Miller will be held Saturday, Oct. 5, at the Sandpoint Elk’s Lodge, 30196 Highway 200, Ponderay, Idaho, from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m.
