April 1, 1975 – LIBRARY HAS NEW CARDS
The Sandpoint-East Bonner County Library has new library cards. Instead of the old check-out system, where cards were on file in the library, each patron will now be responsible for his own card. A new book charger machine, a Gaylord Model C, will automatically stamp the due date and patron number on the check-out card. According to Rich Wilson, library director, the system is faster and more efficient. Eliminating overdue books is a high priority, and with the new system, it will be easier for patrons to tell at a glance when books are due. A lot of money that could be better used is wasted in keeping track of overdue books, Wilson said.

SAGLE RIDERS TO GARFIELD BAY
When a horseman takes to wooded trails, spring is here. A group of Sagle riders left the Gollen home Sunday and rode to Garfield bay, to enjoy a wiener roast on the beach before the homeward ride. The group included Don and Lillian Gollen, Sandy and Neata Sands and Bob Jacobson. Numerous rides with a larger number of riders are being planned for the summer as more friends are assembled.
