Full caption: Sandpoint's Trennon Scherr, 13, and Ever “Sissy” Scherr, 9, both placed first in their respective age groups at the Snow Ghost Banked Slalom held this past Saturday, March 29 and Sunday, March 30 at Schweitzer. Trennon, who enjoys deep powder skiing and building jumps, won the Amateur Ski Boys Division (13-17 years old) while Sissy, who has won every race she has competed in this season, won the Groms Ski Girls Division (6-12 years old). The two both attend the Sandpoint Waldorf School and have an enthusiasm and love for skiing that is inspiring to many. Trennon and Sissy, who compete for the Schweitzer Alpine Racing School, are the children of longtime local and avid skier Trevor Scherr and the grandchildren of Connie Scherr, who some might know for her many years of service at the Alpine Shop.
