Newport Renaissance Faire seeking sponsors

NEWPORT — The banners are raised, and the knights are ready. Will you stand among the legends?

The community's knights, ladies, jesters and all folk are invited to come join the fun as the Newport Renaissance Faire returns for its fourth year. This year, organizers said they hope to bring a breathtaking live-action knight show featuring daring jousts, fierce sword fights, and heroic feats of chivalry. The annual renaissance fair will be held May 10 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Newport Rodeo Grounds.

"This immersive medieval experience will transport audiences to an age of gallantry, where knights clash in the arena, banners fly high, and the roar of the crowd fuels the glory of battle," organizers said. "With live stunt performances, period-accurate armor, and a fully interactive atmosphere, it is set to be an unforgettable event for the ages."

Sponsors are currently being sought to help put on the event. Sponsorship levels include "the Free Folk" at $10, the Gentry at $100, the Royalty at $1,000 and The Knightly Ventures sponsorship at $4,500.

The Gentry, Nobility and Royalty tiers come with social media recognition and a certificate recognizing alliance. In addition, the Nobility tier includes a ringing out by the official faire herald thanking you for your faithful fealty. The Royalty tier also comes with a banner at the entrance to the arena with your company crest.

The Knightly Ventures sponsorship is an exclusive sponsorship with only one available. The sponsor will receive a key to the kingdom, presented by the Knights, regular heralding during the day of the event, a large banner at the arena, multiple social media shout-outs, and recognition from the Greater Newport Area Chamber of Commerce.

The renaissance faire is a collaboration between the Pend Oreille County Library District, Greater Newport Chamber, Pend Oreille County Rodeo Club, and Newport Creative District.
