| April 2, 2025 1:00 AM

SANDPOINT — Road weight limits continue on many county roads with no hauling allowed on several, according to Bonner County Road & Bridge officials.

In District 1 (south of the Long Bridge), all roads in the district are posted with weight limits. As a reminder, red flags indicate restrictions are in effect.

In addition, Comeback Bay Lane, E. Comeback Bay Lane, Birch Haven Drive, Birch Banks Road, Hanford Drive, Sweeney Drive, Hanley Lane, Bella Circle, Hillside Drive, the north end of Merril Martin Road, Whittum Road and Willford Road are posted as no hauling. This means that the roads are only open to regular, residential traffic and that no trailers or loaded truck beds are allowed.

District 2 (Priest River/Priest Lake) — A number of roads in the district have had weight restrictions lifted. Roads freed from restrictions are Bodie Canyon Road, Shannon Lane, Dew Valley Loop, Old Priest River Road, Silver Birch Lane, Nagel Road, Hoo Doo Loop, Rena Road, Womac Road, Barrett Road, Stone Johnny Road, Freeman Lake Road, Eastside Road to Sanborn Creek Road, E. Settlement Road, Anselmo Lane and Thama Drive.

All other roads in the district are still posted with weight limits. In addition, the section of Eastshore Road between Indian Creek Park Road and Canoe Point Road is posted as no hauling.

District 3 (Sandpoint/Clark Fork) — All roads in the district are posted with weight limits. In addition, French and W. Spring Creek roads are posted as no hauling.

Per county ordinance, it is the responsibility of the hauler to contact the Bonner County Road & Bridge Department to determine whether or not these restrictions are in place. The restrictions will remain in effect until changed, at which time updates will be posted.
