POAC announces spring adult art classes
Artists can be their own worst critics. Apparently Monet thought he had no talent whatsoever. But he also thought that Gauguin’s work was dreadful. Who knew? And who knows what hidden talents you have? Do you?
Now’s the time to answer those questions by signing up for one or more adult art classes sponsored by Pend Oreille Arts Council and held at the Joyce Dillon Studio in the back of POAC’s Gallery at 313 N. Second Ave. in downtown Sandpoint.
For a complete list of classes go to www.artinsandpoint.org/joycedillonstudio. There you’ll find details about dates, times, costs and supplies, if needed.
The highlights of the season include classes in forging, macrame, weaving, painting, making glass windchimes and Kimekomi. In what? Kimekomi is a Japanese method utilizing fabric to create amazing pictures. Registration for classes is typically a week before they start, so plan accordingly.
