Car struck by train in Careywood

CAREYWOOD — A car was struck by a train Friday morning at a railroad crossing near the intersection of U.S. 95 and Barnhardt Road in southern Bonner County.

Selkirk Fire, Rescue & EMS responded to the incident at 7:31 a.m. One victim was located in the car and transported to a local trauma center. Timberlake Fire District and Bonner County EMS also responded.
