Upcoming play features plenty of comedy, laughter
Looking for something fun to do after sending off your taxes by the April 15 deadline?
Head on over to one of five performances of "No Laughing Matter," written by Jeff Dunne, a play that features an ex-comedian busboy, a British courier for the Russian intelligence agency, and FBI agents who thinks the ex-comedian is a spy.
Is he a threat to national security? What about the despondent owner of The Egg Plant, or the peculiar Alejandro, a man allergic to nearly everything except coffee?
Five performances throughout the area are planned. Tickets are on sale now and are $15 online and $17 at the door.
The play is a production of Out of the Box Entertainment.
Performances will be held at 7 p.m., Saturday, April 26, at the Blanchard Community Center, 685 Rusho Lane, Blanchard; 2 p.m. Sunday, April 27, at Create Art Center, 900 Fourth St., Newport; 7 p.m. Friday, May 2, Spirit Lake Presbyterian Church, 6174 Jefferson St., Spirit Lake; 7 p.m. Saturday, May 3, Cutter Theatre, 302 Park St., Metalline Falls, Wash.; 2 p.m. Sunday, May 4, Priest River Senior Center, 336 E.
