| April 15, 2025 12:42 AM

A 50-year Naples man was killed in a fiery three-car crash in Boundary County just before noon. Two others were injured in the crash.

Idaho State Police troopers said a Honda Odyssey van, driven by a 33-year-old male of Spokane, Wash., was southbound in the 495000 block of U.S. 95 at 11:59 a.m. when it rear-ended a southbound Chevrolet GMT-400 pickup driven by a 50-year-old Naples man. As a result of the crash, the pickup truck was pushed into a northbound Honda Ridgeline driven by a 79-year-old male of Coeur d'Alene.

Both the Ridgeline and the Chevrolet pickup started on fire after the collision, troopers said.

The driver of the pickup was pronounced deceased at the scene and a juvenile passenger in the pickup was flown by medical helicopter to an area hospital.

A female passenger from the Honda Ridgeline was transported to an area hospital by ambulance.

ISP troopers said it is unknown if the occupants of the Chevrolet pickup were wearing seatbelts.

Next of kin have been notified and an investigation into the crash is ongoing, ISP troopers said.
