Patricia Cotting, 69
Patricia (Envik) Cotting, 69, passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2025, in Sandpoint, Idaho.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, April 25, 2025, at Lakeview Funeral Home with Pastor Hollis Stewart officiating. Burial will follow at the Lakeview Cemetery.
Patricia was born in the coastal town of Fort Bragg, Calif., she lived a life rooted in love, generosity, and strength. It was in Sonoma, Calif., that she met her first love. Together, they welcomed their first son, Erik, and began a journey that would take them north to the small town of Sandpoint, Idaho, in 1976 — a place that would forever be home in her heart.
It was during this season of life that she welcomed two more sons, Levi and Ivan, both of whom added to the richness of her world. Embracing country living with open arms, Patricia made a beautiful life amid the pines and pastures if North Idaho. Her days were filled with the joys of tending large vegetable gardens, canning her harvest each fall, and raising animals with the kind of care only she could give.
Patricia’s love wasn’t reserved just for family — it overflowed into the lives of everyone around her. A devoted caregiver by nature, she gave her time, her heart, and her presence to those who needed it most. Her compassion was steady, her strength quiet but unwavering.
To her grandchildren — Zachary, Alex, Seirra, Carter, Conner, Chloe and Liam — she was more than a grandmother. She was an adventurer, a safe place, and a loving constant. Becoming a great-grandmother to little Jaxon brought her immense joy, and her love only grew deeper with time.
Though life’s path took her to Portland, Ore., (where she loved to visit the ocean and fly kites) and Kellogg, Idaho, (where she loved to go camping and fishing), Patricia’s heart never strayed far from Sandpoint. In her final years, she returned to the place she loved most, surrounded by the familiar beauty and memories that shaped her life.
Patricia is survived by her beloved sons, Erik (Shava) Envik and Ivan (Valerie) Envik; her cherished grandchildren, Zachary, Alex, Seirra, Carter, Conner, Chloe and Liam; her great-grand son, Jaxon; her loving daughter-in-law, Stacy Envik; and her sisters Kathy (David) Gaskins of Roseville, Calif., and Linda (Chuck) Breault, of Twin Falls, Idaho; and Ralph Jerome of Kellogg, Idaho.
She was preceded in death by her dear mother, Dorothy Huddleston, and her son, Levi Envik, whose memory she carried with her always.
In the end, Patricia believed in the simple, powerful truth that love is everything. She gave it freely, lived it fully, and wanted nothing more than for others to love one another in return. She just Loved Love!
Her legacy is one of warmth, kindness, and enduring love. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
