SMS mathletes claim regional honors

Sandpoint Middle School mathletes recently claimed honors at the North Idaho Regional Mathcounts Competition on Tuesday, Feb. 4, held on the campus of North Idaho College.
Anna Gronfur took second in the individual test portion of the competition, and Sophia Brubaker took seventh.
In the team competition, Gronfur, Brubaker, along with teammates Cara Lankamer and Anne Brubaker took second overall and earned a berth in the Idaho State Mathcounts Competition in Boise.
The state competition will be held March 22.
