Information sought on break-in, vandalism
HOPE — Two buildings in Hope were vandalized and broken into last Wednesday. The suspect was caught on camera but is unidentifiable.
On Friday, B’s Beacon officials wrote in a Facebook post that a break-in had occurred at the restaurant and neighboring business, Old Icehouse Pizza.
During the break-in, the unknown suspect was caught on camera vandalizing the properties and sifting through the restaurant owner’s personal items, according to B’s Beacon officials.
“This incident caused damage to both properties, and we are deeply saddened by the disrespect shown to our beloved historic building,” B’s Beacon officials said in the post. “The hotel and restaurant have been a labor of love for us, and we’ve worked so hard to reopen these spaces for the community to enjoy. To see it treated in this manner is truly heartbreaking.”
B’s Beacon and Icehouse Pizzaria encourage individuals with information to come forward.
“We remain hopeful that with the community’s support, we can bring justice to this situation. Thank you all for your continued love and support,” B’s Beacon said.
