IDFG's 'Hook and Bulletin' podcast hits 50 episodes
Not everyone wants to get hunting and fishing news online or via social media. Time can be scarce, and spending it searching for information instead of heading to your favorite outdoor spot isn't always possible.
That's been the foundation of the Idaho Department of Fish & Game's "Hook and Bulletin" podcast since the first episode March 27, 2024.
The 50th episode — "Tying 'Wild Game' Flies, Bingeing on Biology, and Price Lock" — just dropped and IDFG officials said they are excited about the potential to expand the podcast further, including future interviews with Idaho Fish and Game staff and discussions about the fish and wildlife they protect and manage.
For those who haven't listened to the "Hook and Bulletin," the podcast is a brief weekly news roundup of hunting, fishing, trapping and conservation stories from around Idaho. When experts are available for interviews, the show includes in-depth discussions about complex topics, such as e-tagging salmon and steelhead, patrolling the Frank Church Wilderness and tracking turkeys.
Listeners can email podcast@idfg.idaho.gov with questions or topic suggestions related to fish and game matters.
The "Hook and Bulletin" is available on its official podcast page, Podbean, the Fish and Game YouTube channel or any preferred podcast platform.
