End of aid to world's poor is unconscionable

I am in line at Walmart — the cries of a hungry baby filled my ears. I hear that child being comforted by a caring parent and I smile inwardly knowing those baby twinges will soon disappear.

Not so the extreme hunger pangs of a totally helpless baby in a war-torn country somewhere in God's world. The unbelievable agony of a distended belly and ultimate death from malnutrition is something the baby here at Walmart will never experience. The gruel provided by USAID is all that stands between this agonizing short life and hope. Please contact congressmen and senators (perhaps more than once) and firmly urge them to stop Elon Musk and his murderous campaign to annihilate the poor of the earth. "… (As) you did it to one of the least of these, my brother, you did it to me." (Matthew 25:40)
