Alyse Ehrmantrout and Cherie Coldwell were honored recently as the Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce's December volunteers of the month.

"If you attended the holiday tree lighting the day after Thanksgiving, you may have had the opportunity to see Alyse and Cherie dressed in full costume to represent Santa’s elves," Mickey Quinn, Greater Sandpoint Chamber executive director, said. "They have been teaming up for the past several years to help the chamber with this fun community event. They do a wonderful job monitoring the line of families waiting to meet Santa so the children can share their Christmas Wish List and get a photo taken with him.'

In addition to volunteering to be Santa’s Elves, Quinn said Coldwell has been a regular volunteer at other chamber events such as Summer Sampler and Beerfest. In addition, she has volunteered for the Panida and several other events around town.

Ehrmantrout is a Chamber Ambassador and has volunteered for chamber activities including Beerfest. In addition, she also volunteers with Angels Over Sandpoint where she has been a board member with Angels for the past six years. In that role, Ehrmantrout co-chaired their annual golf tournament, and helped manage ticket sales for the Follies.

"Please join the camber in celebrating Alyse and Cherie as our December Volunteers of the Month," Quinn said.
