Kevin Dean Rosteck
Feb. 14, 1955 — Jan. 4, 2025
Known affectionately as "Pops," Kevin Dean Rosteck fought a courageous battle against cancer for the past two years. Born in Iowa, Kevin moved to Idaho in his 20s and spent the rest of his life in the mountains of North Idaho, embracing every adventure that came his way.
Kevin was preceded in death by his mother, Delores Rosteck; his father, Ernie Rosteck; and his sister, Elaine Rosteck. He is survived by his ex-wife, Barb Rosteck; his daughters, Jamie Rosteck and Jessica Steidl; his grandchildren, Gavan Rosteck, Konrad Steidl, and Sebastian Steidl; his sons-in-law, Hans Steidl and Wesley Baldwin; his nephew, Tye Rosteck; and his brothers, John and Andy Taravella, along with their families.
In his early years, Kevin played football both in high school and college, rode his motorcycle across the country to Florida, mined turquoise in Colorado, and was a roadie for several bands. Kevin was the life of the party, always ready to share a good story and have a great time. He cherished his time with family, often attending his grandkids' sporting events and making the most of every opportunity to be with them. His adventurous spirit and love for his family will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
