Commissioners make fair board appointments

SANDPOINT — Bonner County commissioners voted unanimously to appoint two new members — Nathan Carroll and Glenn Baumann — to four-year terms on the county’s fair board Tuesday. 

Commissioner Asia Williams said Baumann and Carroll were selected from a pool of 12 applicants for their experience managing finances and budgets, which she said were traits community members told her they wanted to see on the board.

Commissioner Brian Domke said Carroll owns a farm and a home building company in Priest River, and that he has experience managing schedules and budgets for complex construction projects. Commissioner Ron Korn told attendees Baumann has a background in banking, taxes, business education and business ownership. 

“Hopefully we can get some good results and some future plans so that we can make sure our fair is successful and moves forward,” Williams said.
