Kim Rena Edwards, 66

Kim Rena Tucker Edwards, 66, passed away Jan. 17, 2025, in Kootenai, Idaho.

Kim was born Nov. 17, 1958, the daughter of Delvin L. Tucker and Louise M. Hatfield Tucker in Albany, Ore.

Delvin and Louise moved to Idaho in 1959. Kim started school in 1964 at Hope Elementary. She graduated from Sandpoint High School in 1978.

Kim’s first job was as a carhop at the A&W in Ponderay. She also worked at Don Drive Inn and for Benard Johnson as a waitress through high school.

After Kim graduated, she went to Valdez, Alaska, and spent the summer with her sister, Linda. She met her future husband, John Edwards II at the hotel where her sister worked. John followed Kim back to Sandpoint and Kim followed John to Salt Lake City. They married March 29, 1979.

Kim was preceded in death by her father, Delvin L. Tucker; her brother, Mark J. Tucker; sister Terry Lee Tucker; and stepdad Allen Bertrum.

There will be a private family gathering to celebrate Kim’s life Feb. 22, 2025.
