Ren Fair seeks volunteers

Huzzah and well met!

The Sandpoint Renaissance Fair Queen has announced that annual festivities shall commence again this year. The Sandpoint Renaissance Faire will take place Saturday, June 28, and Sunday, June 29. 

Additional volunteers are needed to help us continue our quest of merriment and charity. Interested community members are encouraged to attend the general volunteer information meeting on Wednesday, March 5, at 7-8 p.m. at Matchwood Brewing Company, 513 Oak St., in Sandpoint. Events, details, and volunteer needs are also discussed on the Sandpoint Renaissance Faire Volunteers Facebook Group. There will be additional volunteer meetings later this spring. Local business volunteer teams are welcome.

The fair's volunteers spanned a range of talents and enthusiasm. Tasks run the gamut from general labor, builders, and cleaning to runners, parking attendants, strolling characters, and stage tech.

All volunteers are asked to offer at least four hours of time, and will receive entry tickets, faire swag, and the deepest appreciation of the Sandpoint Renaissance Association.

Last year, Her Majesty's subjects rallied to the call with over 50 volunteers from Sandpoint and surrounding communities. Without our treasured volunteers, the Sandpoint Renaissance Association cannot put on this event or financially give to local organizations such as The Local VFW Vietnam Veterans Chapter, Panida Theater, Sandpoint Music Conservatory and Helping Hands Helping Hearts
