City seeks youth art submissions

SANDPOINT — City staff are seeking works from young artists for the “Big Bellied Monster” public art contest. 

Kids ages 4-12 are eligible to create a design that can be wrapped onto one of two Big Bellied trash cans soon to be installed in downtown Sandpoint. The two successful candidates will each receive a $150 artist’s stipend.

Applicants can pick up design coloring pages at Sandpoint City Hall, Bonner County Museum, Creations for Sandpoint or Miller’s Paint Bucket. 

Finished works can be submitted at City Hall’s Parks and Recreation desk until March 31.
