City releases survey as staff refine parking management plan

SANDPOINT — City staff are seeking public input as they prepare to present a new parking management plan to Sandpoint City Council later this year.

Staff said that they hope the survey will help them gauge residents’ satisfaction with the current pavement conditions and parking availability on streets and at public lots downtown and at City Beach. The survey is available at sandpointidaho.gov/parking

Drafts of the parking management plan shared early this year have included parking fees at public lots that staff say will improve availability and create a sustainable funding source for maintenance and improvements.

Throughout January and February, staff consulted Sandpoint’s citizen advisory boards and integrated their feedback into the draft plan. In March, city personnel will gather input from downtown business owners.

The survey will remain open until the end of the month. City and non-city residents are encouraged to participate.
