Junior Golf program returning to Elks

PONDERAY — The Sandpoint Elks Lodge will be hosting sign-ups in their lodge room Saturday, May 17, at 9 a.m. for the Hook a Kid on Golf program, which provides golf clubs, lessons, hats and a shirt to youth athletes looking to take up golf.

Kids from ages 8-to-12-years-old who are beginners are eligible for the program, which operates on a first come, first served basis — no pre-registration provided. Kids must be present with an adult to sign the application.

The free lessons will be held from July 14 to July 18 with two sessions running from 9 to 10:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
