SANDPOINT — Two Bonner County residents plead not guilty Tuesday for charges related to an alleged Jan. 10 lewd conduct offense.

Brandon Sovan Veach, 21, is charged with lewd conduct with a child under 16, and Rowan Charles Ramsey, 20, is charged with aiding and abetting lewd conduct with minor and felonious administering of drugs for being at the victim’s house the night of the alleged sexual abuse and allegedly providing the victim with alcohol.

Veach and Ramsey remain in custody at Bonner County Jail.

Court documents indicate emergency services received a 911 call after several alleged eyewitnesses claimed they saw Veach sexually assaulting the victim while she laid unconscious on her bed. Court documents allege the victim was unconscious due to allegedly drinking “half a bottle” of vodka.

According to a probable cause affidavit, Veach and Ramsey allegedly went into the victim’s bedroom, bringing alcohol with them to drink. At the time of the alleged assault, Veach was the only one above the legal drinking age.

According to court documents, when friends of the victim allegedly saw Veach assaulting the victim, it was noted that Ramsey appeared to not be in the room.

Ramsey and Veach will appear in court May 13 at 10 a.m. for a pretrial conference.
