Northside Fire District deploys firefighter crew, vehicle to Texas
Northside Fire District personnel will support local responders in northern Texas for the next two weeks as the region braces for severe fire weather.

Northside Fire District sent a crewed brush truck to Wichita Falls, Texas, on Tuesday as part of an initiative to fortify the area as severe fire conditions approach.
The crew is part of a cohort of Idaho firefighters that will be on standby for at least two weeks and will provide support to local responders as incidents arise.
In a March 12 Facebook post, Northside staff wrote that deployments like this offer firefighters valuable experience and generate crucial revenue for the district.
“Northside Fire remains fully staffed and no reduction in service levels will be experienced,” staff stated in the post. “We wish our firefighters, and the men and women of IDL (Idaho Department of Lands) they are deployed alongside, smooth travels and a safe assignment.”
