March 20, 1950 - NEW BANK QUARTERS!

Sandpoint’s bank is returning to its old location in the Masonic temple building at Second and Cedar. After complete remodeling, redecorating and refinishing since fire damaged the quarters last year, the Idaho First National bank will move into one of the finest banking offices in North Idaho. Floor space has been more than doubled and the lobby enlarged; six teller windows replace the original three. Recessed lighting is used throughout the soundproofed offices, with floors of inlaid rubber tile. There are two new vaults at the right rear of the offices, one for cash and bank records and one for safe deposit boxes. A convenient addition is a night depository near the bank’s entrance. The bank plans an open house celebration Saturday from 2 to 8:30, to which the public is invited.
