SANDPOINT — Senior Jacob Aexel and sophomore Kohta Fisher both scored four times as the host Bulldogs defeated the league newcomer Knights in an IHSLL North Division game held Saturday at War Memorial Field.
Freshman Liam Bowen added two goals, two assists and controlled four faceoffs while freshman Coen Houtrouw netted his first and second career varsity goals for Sandpoint, which led 13-1 at halftime.
Sophomore Keagan Cole chipped in a goal and two assists, junior Tanyon Sprinkle a goal, a team-high five groundballs and two caused turnovers.
Junior Riley Doko won a team-high eight faceoffs for Sandpoint (1-2, 1-2), which will host Logos at the Field of Dreams on Wednesday for their next official conference game.

SANDPOINT — Senior Marin Browne combined to score six goals, three in each game, as the host Lady Bulldogs split a pair of WSLA East Division contests Saturday at War Memorial Field.
In the win over Richland, Liv Alt and Kat Argrabrite scored twice, Grace Gavin added a goal and won a team-high seven faceoffs, and Josie Cox and Molly Sloan chipped in one goal each. Reina Montecchi tallied two assists.
Against Kamiakin, Alt, Sloan and Clara Sherman scored once each in addition to Browne's second hat trick. Medea Moon had 19 saves overall on the day, 11 in the nightcap for the Lady Bulldogs.
Sandpoint (1-3, 1-3) will host Big Cats (Mead) on Wednesday at the Field of Dreams in Ponderay.

BONNERS FERRY — Four different Priest River High field athletes won events as the Spartans took third on the boys side at the Bonners Ferry Invite on Saturday.
Senior Carter Korff won the long jump (20 feet 0.75 inches), junior Ian Lamanna (10 feet 6 inches) won the pole vault, senior Ryan Bell won the javelin (121 feet 0.5 inches) and Niki Porinchok won the shotput (41 feet 6.5 inches) and the discus (140 feet 0 inches) to round out Priest River's top finishes.
Junior Jetta Thaete won the javelin (87 feet 10 inches) and sophomore Samantha Barich tied for first in the pole vault (7 feet 0 inches) for Sandpoint's girls.
Priest River, along with Clark Fork, will return to action Saturday at the Ezra Gordon Invitational hosted by Colville. Sandpoint will dual Lakeland at home today.

BOISE — At Ridgevue High, junior Sage Medeiros hit an RBI single to left in the top of the second as the Bulldogs fell short of the Warhawks on Saturday — the final day of the Buck's Bags Tournament.
Senior Jesse Turner got the nod and struck out three batters across three innings. Fellow senior Tommy Ott also pitched well, striking out one batter over 1.1 innings in relief.
Sandpoint (2-4, 1-1) will travel to Lakeland for a 5A Inland Empire League doubleheader today.

SANDPOINT — Sophomore Pepper Rickert won her third straight 6-0, 6-0 game, senior Jacob Dawson won his second straight, and the host Bulldogs downed the Trojans in a match held Saturday at James E. Russell Sports Center.
Also posting perfect 6-0, 6-0 victories were Nathan Duke and Caden Martz as Sandpoint pulled off a flawless sweep in boys singles. Bella Bailey was dominant in girls singles, winning 6-1, 6-0.
Doubles pairs Aubrey Knowles and Amelia Poulson and Hannah Fisher and Lily Evans each won their third straight matches in girls doubles by scores of 6-2, 6-2 and 6-0, 6-1, respectively.
In mixed doubles, Avery Thornton and Joey Allen won by a score of 6-4, 5-7, 10-3 while Mason Blaser and Morgan Harris, who was playing in her first ever high school match, won a shortened game by a score of 6-3, 4-5, (7-5) (10-6) to pull of the sweep.
Sandpoint (3-0) will host Moscow for a 5A Inland Empire League match Thursday.

MERIDIAN — Junior Cadence Skibitsky hit a two-run homerun to center in the first game against the Diamondbacks as the Lady Bulldogs dropped a pair of contests on the final day of the Win the Pitch Classic held Saturday at Meridian High.
In the second game against the Brave, junior Arah Stevens was 2-for-2 and hit an RBI double in the bottom of the first inning, sophomore Teagan Newsom, who had hits in both games, chipped in an RBI single in that same inning.
Senior Abi Miller also had a hit on the day for Sandpoint (0-6, 0-2), which will host Lakeland for a 5A Inland Empire League doubleheader today.
