Return to the ’50s at Circle Moon Theater
The Mountain Harmony Show Choir and Northwoods Performing Arts are presenting their annual youth show early next month. Shows are planned April 3-5 and April 10-12.
Titled “The Nifty Fifties,” the musical comedy is both a tribute to the 1950s and to the fun of the era. Under the direction of Nina Pletsch, “Nifty” is an energetic show featuring a great musical and dance decade. Organizers said it is an understatement to say MHSC youth are stoked to show off their impressive stage skills. Saddle shoes, poodle skirts and a luncheonette/soda shop may be in evidence in this nostalgic review of post-war peacetime in America — a story best told by the teenagers of that special time.
“The Nifty Fifties” performances are scheduled April 3-5 and April 10-12. No meal will be served at the Saturday, April 12, matinee show. Dinner show tickets are $35 per person or $14 for tickets to only the show. Tickets for seniors and youth are $12. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., dining service begins at 6:30, and the curtain opens at 7:30. The matinee show starts at 3 p.m.
