Idaho Department of Fish and Game accepting applications for community challenge grants
The Idaho Department of Fish and Game will accept applications through April 15 for “community challenge” grants designed to fund initiatives that enhance fish and wildlife habitat, populations or associated recreational opportunities.
Officially recognized nonprofit organizations are eligible to apply. A panel of Fish and Game Commission members and staff will evaluate the proposals and give preference to projects that target high-priority needs, have broad community support and have a high likelihood of achieving the stated objective.
Initiatives that benefit a community or region are eligible for up to $10,000 made available for each Fish and Game Region. Projects that benefit the state or multiple regions are eligible for up to $30,000.
Statewide grant applications should be emailed or sent to IDFG’s headquarters care of legislative and community engagement coordinator Ellary Tucker-Williams at P.O. Box 25, Boise, ID, 83707.
Regional grant applications should be mailed to 2885 W. Kathleen Ave., Coeur d'Alene, ID 83815.
