(Photo by CAROLINE LOBSINGER) Kathryn Weisberg, a Sandpoint artist and conservationist best known for her paintings of wildlife and impressionist landscapes, unveils the poster she created for the Festival at Sandpoint’s 34th season of the summer concert series. Weisberg, who was chosen by a committee of her artistic peers, made up of the Festival’s past poster artists to create a piece of original artwork for the Festival at Sandpoint, said she came up with the idea for her painting after imagining what it would be like to be a musician trapped inside practicing. Finally, the chellist, grabs her instrument and embeds it in the sand and begins to practice outside so as to enjoy the community’s beauty.
