A total of 36 kids from 6-12 years-old took part in the Sandpoint Volleyball Camp this week at SHS. Combined with the older kids camp, nearly 80 area players got to learn the finer points of the sport from college coaches representing Big Sky schools University of Idaho, Montana and Eastern Washington. “I love listening to the college coaches,” admitted Bulldog head coach Erin Roos, a former starting setter for the University of Michigan who was running the camp. “I learn a lot, and they bring some fun drills.” The coaches were no doubt taking a close look at some of the Sandpoint varsity players, as well, as the Bulldogs have put a handful of volleyball players into the Big Sky over the years, including sisters Koko (Montana), Jennie (Idaho State) and Kelsey (Idaho) James.
