Selkirk Fire, Rescue and EMS hosted a three-day “Arson Detection for the First Responder” class last, sponsored by the Idaho State Fire Marshal’s, office and Idaho State Fire Service Technology, attended by firefighters from around the region. During the class, realistic rooms were built and burned behind the Sagle firestation to simulate intentional and unintentional fires for the students to determine the cause and origin.
