North Idaho High School Aerospace Program participants and organizers recently got together to thank local aviator Chuck Chehock who generously donated his bi-plane to the group. In the 1940s, Chuck lived on a farm in Iowa and learned to fly as a teenager. He hopes his gift will inspire area young people to develop the lifelong love of aviation he’s enjoyed. The North Idaho High School Aerospace program helps local students prepare for careers in the aerospace industry by providing hands-on aviation mechanic and flight training opportunities. For information about the program, go online to highschoolaerospace.org.
